1900 HOURS is a story about a writer who becomes a prison officer so he can get the true feelings and the inside story about their way of life and their attitudes before and after they join the service.

I recount some funny moments but they are few. In a high security prison there isn’t much to laugh about. There were escapes. Riots. Rapes of young offenders. Many fights and even murder that mostly went unsolved. A fellow officer, a friend, was murdered for no known reason by a prisoner who was originally sentenced for passing dud cheques. Now he too is dead.

What I have written are mostly true accounts drawn from my own ten-years as an officer at the Long-Bay Complex of Prisons, Sydney, Australia; One of the toughest in the southern hemisphere, the truth is woven into a fictitious and interesting story of intrigue.

Maria’s Revenge is about a London policeman who becomes a fugitive from the law because his wife and son are blown up and burnt to death by an IRA bombing.

After the two culprits are caught, they are eventually judged innocent.

That sets Jeff Kane, the main character, on a course of vengeance. After tracking down and disposing of the two that killed his family in a violent way. He goes to France to help a friend that loses her husband, an old mate who worked for Interpol. The death of his friend turns out to be caused by Gun runners of the IRA.  Jeff's involvement takes him through Europe, visiting; France. Italy and on into Turkey and back with numerous attempts on his life and unusual happenings to him.

He gets help from a friend of his dead mate in Interpol and also becomes involved with his dead friends widow, Simone and her daughter Danielle. But he is continually tormented by thoughts of his family burning to death in their car.

The ending is unexpected whereby he is killed, or thought to be.

BAST is a story based around a young man who is cursed.  Because of the curse his father who was an Archaeologist dies.  Jason Moorland, the main character, becomes responsible for many deaths of those that he loves.

He tries to discover how and why the deaths occur and how he is cursed and soon realizes that his sister is also cursed but in a different way.  She, along with a friend brings back from the dead; Bast, the cat god of ancient Egypt. This evil thing from the past rampages through a small village in Kent where the story is set.  But the magical powers that he possesses can be stopped with the destruction of a book, the 'Book of the Dead’ which his father bought back from Egypt many years past.

The story first traces the young mans childhood in his memories as be tries to find the reason for his ill-fated life, to be a murderer and not even know how his victims are killed is driving him insane, that is until an Inspector from Scotland Yard discovers a video tape which was secretly filmed by a prostitute Jason got caught up with whilst running from himself.

The prostitute also dies but her death turns out to be his salvation.  It helps him come to grips with reality and realize that he is not going insane. The videotape shows how his unsuspecting victims die in their love-bed.

There is a lot of interaction between the central character and his best pal and his sister’s husband who is also becoming a victim of his own wife.

Although the story is one of horror, as in real life a touch of humour is given to it by the inspector’s off-sider.  He is clever but a bit of a bumbler, awkward in whatever he does. Later in the story Jason Moorland, the central character comes face to face with Bast who has morphosised into the present time.  The fight for life begins. Jason at last wins the bout but does he really win the battle.…?

Granny & Granddads Household Encyclopedia is intended for use as a handy book of reference for the average household. The compiler, while endeavoring to include all that necessary and useful information which the housewife and the man of the house will require, acknowledges that not all things can be included in one book. Therefore, it is hoped that the information contained will be a great aid to your household and can be kept on the kitchen shelf or in the garden shed.

Each subject has been dealt with in a manner that will enable the reader to turn to the work for effective assistance in any ordinary domestic activity or where difficulty and emergencies arise.

It should be understood that in the English speaking world England and parts of Europe have been the origin of most old recipes that have been handed down through the generations. The same can be said of old remedies and matters of etiquette, which was born in the chivalrous times of the knights of old. Although chivalry and etiquette are often forgotten in today's rush for life, it wouldn't hurt to be reminded of the ways of old 'Granny and Granddad'

Enigmas. This little book should get the old gray matter working overtime. The cryptic clues are not easy but the whole family can enjoy giving their brain a workout and its a lot cheaper than those electronic gadgets...
